  • Title: About - Tees Valley Housing
Descriptive info: About us.. Board.. Structure.. Policies.. Openness and Transparency.. Equality and Diversity.. Green Agenda.. Working for Tees Valley.. Performance and Satisfaction.. Performance charts.. Annual report.. Standards feedback.. Customer feedback.. Awards.. Background and Objectives.. Tees Valley Housing has moved on significantly since the creation of the Tees Valley Housing Association from the merger of Cleveland and Teesside Housing Association and Phoenix Housing Association in 1996, and the subsequent formation of Tees Valley Housing Group.. The Group, prior to joining Fabrick, included Banks of the Wear Housing Association, with property holdings primarily in Sunderland and Newcastle, and Tees Valley Trust Ltd which specialised in supported and sheltered housing across the Group, as well as leading the Group s community investment initiatives.. On 1 April 2008, Tees Valley Housing became a partner in the Fabrick Housing Group that brings together Erimus Housing and Tees Valley Housing Ltd.. In total, the Group manages nearly 15,000 housing units.. Tees Valley Housing continues as a separate company within the Group managing over 4,000 homes and with an ambitious development programme.. Fabrick provides strategic direction to the Group, and financial, corporate and development services to the partner companies.. Tees Valley Housing itself is primarily concerned with the provision of affordable housing across a number of different forms such as:.. affordable rents.. shared ownership.. shared equity.. intermediate market rents.. In addition to the above, Tees Valley Housing is looking to increase the number of options given to current and future residents in terms  ...   a specialist team dealing with Supported and Sheltered Housing.. The client groups we serve range from those with mental health issues to those with learning difficulties.. The Extra Care schemes at Pennyman House in North Ormesby, and Barnaby House in Eston provide examples of the new developments which Tees Valley Housing is delivering in terms of an ageing population and those in need of care.. We believe in investing in neighbourhoods through new and innovative ranges of services and initiatives.. This approach helps us develop sustainable communities and provide positive attractions for new residents.. These initiatives can be geographically focussed, such as the Neighbourhood Management Scheme at North Ormesby, or user/client focussed such as the OpENhOuse Project which aimed to bring the community into job and contracting opportunities within the housing sector.. Our Vision: Shaping the Fabric of Everyday Life.. This vision has been translated into a set of values:.. To be fair, ethical and honest;.. To put our customers at the heart of decision making;.. To strive for excellence and innovation in everything we do;.. To welcome diversity;.. To recruit and retain the best people.. To deliver the vision, a set of strategic priorities has been established.. To provide outstanding services to our customers.. To provide opportunities for people and places to thrive.. To achieve sustainable growth.. To be the employer of choice.. To achieve business excellence.. Objectives and action are then developed for the next five years to ensure we meet these priorities..
